1. Information on privacy
Your trust is important to us. Because we take privacy issues very seriously, we tell you what data we collect and store, and we inform you of your rights as regards information, correction, blocking and deletion. 

2. General collection and storage of data
When you visit a website, your browser sends information about the browser type and version, the type of operating system used, the referring URL, the IP address, the file name, access status, the quantity of data transmitted and the date and time of the server request. This data is not associated with a specific individual or other data sources. It is initially stored and then deleted following statistical evaluation.

4. Storing personal information – trip reports
The uploading of trip reports (“My Route to Luther”) is voluntary. Additional personal information is requested on the entry form. This information is voluntary and includes details such as your name, a screen name (under which your contributions can be published), a valid email address, your home country and your place of residence (town/city). 

This information is sent to an editor at Wege zu Luther e.V., who checks and processes it prior to publication. The editor's decision as to whether to publish your trip report is final. The editors reserve the right to cut or amend parts of your trip report and/or individual details. Your email address enables the editors to confirm, prior to publication, that you are happy for your (possibly edited) article to appear on the website under your chosen screen name. Your details will then be stored in our database and published on the website of Wege zu Luther e.V. Your name will only be published at your express request - a screen name can be used if you prefer. Your email address will not be published, but it will be stored in our database. You can request withdrawal, deletion or amendment of your trip report and the information contained therein at any time by contacting the member of the Wege zu Luther e.V. team specified under point 6, stating your name and your email address. 

This data will not be combined with other data sources. 

5. Storage of personal information – newsletter 
If you would like to subscribe to the newsletter offered on the website, we need a valid email address plus information that will enable us to check that you are the owner of that email address, or that the owner has agreed to receive the newsletter. No other data will be collected. 

You can revoke your consent to the storage of the information and your email address, and to the use of your email address to send you the newsletter, at any time. Each edition of the newsletter contains a link enabling you to unsubscribe, or you can use the contact information under point 6 of this privacy policy. 

Wege zu Luther e.V. cannot associate this information with a specific named individual. This data will not be combined with other data sources. 

6. Information, correction, blocking and deletion of personal information
Personal information will only be stored with your permission. We collect this information so that we can answer enquiries, present the trip reports and for the purpose of technical administration, and we store it in such a way that it cannot be accessed by third parties. The data will not be passed on to a third party without your express consent, which may be revoked at any time. 

Personal information is neither shared with any third party nor sold. 

You can request information about what data is stored, the purpose for which it is stored and its origin at any time. You also have a statutory right to correct, block or delete the personal data. 7. Data security
As a general rule, the details and information provided to us on our website are stored exclusively within our own databases which are automatically backed up every day. 

Wege zu Luther e.V. makes every effort to ensure that your data is used responsibly. It is only seen by employees who need to view it. Electronic privacy measures are also put in place to prevent misuse by outside parties. 

We would like to warn you that despite our high standards, information that you supply voluntarily via the internet may be used by others. Consequently the operator of this website cannot accept any responsibility or liability for the disclosure of information arising from errors in data transmission and/or unauthorised access by third parties. 

8. Information on Google Analytics 
This website uses “Google Analytics” - a web analysis service of Google Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “Google”). 

Google Analytics uses cookies, files that are stored on your computer, to enable us to analyse how you use the website. The information generated by the cookie concerning your use of the site (e.g. navigation), including your IP address, is sent to a Google server in the USA where it is stored. Google uses this information to analyse the use of the website i.e. to compile reports on website activity for the website operators and possibly to offer additional services linked to the use of the website and the internet.
